Basil Chicken

Basil Chicken

Preparation Time:
Serves: 8

5-8 chicken breasts
1 1/3 cup chopped green onion
1 pound fresh sliced mushrooms
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup whipping cream
2 tablespoons fresh minced basil (2 teaspoons dried basil)
1/4 teaspoon pepper

1. Saute meat

2. Mix in and saute mushrooms and onions in vegetable oil.

3. Make the white sauce
- melt butter
- stir in flour
- add broth
- add seasonings
- cook well
- add cream

4. Mix in meat to white sauce.

Serve with pasta or rice. May be frozen.
