Maija's Biscuits

Cook Time: 15-18 minutes
On Saturday mornings we often had Biscuits and Gravy, and the biscuits became my responsibility. I disliked cutting in butter, I think I found it tedious and difficult. So I found a biscuit recipe that used cream instead! Knead dough for the full minute and your biscuits will be tall and beautiful.
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 1/4 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
4 tablespoons melted butter
1. Mix dry ingredients
2. Add cream slowly while tossing with fork.
3. Watch the amount of cream, not too moist! Not all of the flour will be taken up.
4. Knead dough for full minute.
5. Flatten to 1/2" thickness and cut to size.
6. Spread melted butter on both sides of formed biscuits and place on baking sheet.
7. Bake at 425 degrees for 15-18 minutes.
Wonderful recipe! Might be good with sausage gravy.
